Betty George

Betty George (April 11, 1926 – November 16, 2007) was an American singer of Greek descent. She was a soloist during the big band era.
==Biography==
George was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. At school she was known as a beauty and she went to New York where she sang with big bands including Glen Gray. She worked for over 16 years with Milton Berle.
In the 1970s and 1980s she revived her career when she became a regular guest on local TV in Albany.
George died in Albany, New York, where she was living, but was buried in New Hampshire.
